How to install an eSIM on Android: Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi
On Android you add an eSIM in the SIM settings. Menu names vary by brand, so here are the paths for the most common ones.

Before you start
- Check support: dial *#06# and look for an EID.

- Open the QR code on another screen: a computer, or the email on another device.

Google Pixel
- Settings, then Network & internet, then SIMs.
- Tap Add SIM or +, then Download a SIM instead.

Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO
Not every Xiaomi model has eSIM, especially versions made for China. Check *#06# before you buy.
- Settings, then SIM cards & mobile networks.
- Manage eSIM or Add eSIM.
- Scan the QR code and confirm.
No camera handy
Under the QR code in your order you'll find the SM-DP+ address and the activation code. In the same menu, choose manual entry and type them in.
When you land
- In SIM settings, set the eSIM for mobile data.
- Turn on data roaming for the eSIM. That's normal for a travel eSIM and costs nothing extra.
- Turn data roaming off for your home SIM.
